University of Southampton.

About Zak Maples

I am going into my third year of study for a BSc in Computer Science at the University of Southampton. I am about to embark on my third year project working on the SpiNNaker chip for the BIMPA project. It is yet to be decided exactly what I will be working on, but it will most likely be in the area of algorithm mapping.

As well as my studies I have been working as a freelance web designer for various clients. I also have a part time job at Dominos Pizza to help to fund my studies.

Bio

Born in Grantham, Lincolnshire in 1989, I studied for my A-levels at the The King's School Grantham. After achieving four A's in Computing, General Studies, Maths and Physics I went on to study at the University of Southampton. I was awarded two scholarships to study at Southampton, the Zepler Scholarship for outstanding A-level results and the Sir Isaac Newton Scholarship for studying for a science based degree.
